WWE LICENCES CHILEWE BRANDS FOR SNACKS AND BEVERAGES
Days after World Wrestling Entertainment’s (WWE) biggest event of the year, Wrestlemania 35, the American company has licensed Malawi’s Chilewe Brands for snacks and beverages.
Chilewe Brands is owned by youthful Malawian entrepreneur Mike Chilewe Junior.
As if the news is not exciting enough, Chilewe Junior has roped in South African rapper and business man AKA in the partnership.
Taking it to social media, Chilewe Junior said the AKA, WWE business partnership is meant to change the narrative.
Chilewe Junior tweeted: “We are about to change the African Business Narrative. Just hungry and focused young people doing what people think is impossible. I am happy to call @akaworldwide our business partner together with @WWE”
He further advised young budding African entrepreneurs to be bold and take risks.
“African child always believe. Nothing is impossible @chilewebrands.
While some see them as crazy, we see genius, Because The people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who actually do.
“Here is to changing the narrative. Here is to bringing high quality products to Africa @akaworldwide @WWE @chilewebrands,” he tweeted.
Meanwhile, congratulatory messages are still pouring in for Chilewe brands.
One twitter user posted: “This is HUGE @ChileweJnr!! Chilewe brands is now licensed by @WWE for snacks and beverages and to top it off @akaworldwide just claimed a stake in this!!”
Mike Chilewe Junior was listed in Forbes Africa top 30 under 30 class of 2017 as an Africapitalist and one of 100 Most Influential Young Africans in 2017.
He is also a Tony Elumelu Foundation Alumni.
